SILVER BAY, MN (May 4, 2021) – Stuart International Speedway in Stuart, Iowa has created a number of memorable races throughout the decades. In recent years the little track that could has put on some of the best dirt track racing seen throughout the nation. The Super Late Model features have been some of the best in the midwest. In 2022, Stuart International Speedway will usher in a new major event focusing on those mighty Super Late Models as a headliner for a staggering four nights, $25,000-to-win per night, independence week mega event.
The Fever Heat 100, named from the 1968 movie filmed at Stuart International Speedway, will be contested
July 3-6, 2022 July 10-13, 2022 (dates have been adjusted to accommodate for competing major events). The rare Sunday to Wednesday event will be headlined by a $25,000-to-win Super Late Model feature each night. Bonuses, supporting classes, contingencies, event-themed promotions, and facility upgrades are in the planning stages to provide the best event experience possible.
“The response to our Super Late Model events at Stuart International Speedway the last three years has been incredible despite challenging early season weather” noted Stuart International Speedway Promoter Mike Van Genderen. “With a great string of dates that should not compete with national or regional touring series we believe it will showcase Stuart International Speedway nationwide at a major level.”
Van Genderen’s effort will be flanked by Minnesota-based promoters XR Events, recently of the Bristol Dirt Nationals, Duel in the Desert, and upcoming Texas Dirt Nationals.
