Date Change Accommodates Schedule Conflicts, Allows Racers to Compete in All XR Super Series Events
FORT WORTH, Texas (May 14, 2022) — XR announces the 2022 Texas Dirt Nationals event date has been moved to September 19-20.
In moving the event from its announced date will accommodate Texas Motor Speedway and an event already being held at the facility on the same weekend. The change also allows all racers to compete in both the XR Super Series Texas Dirt Nationals and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway. All drivers will now have the ability to compete in both series’ full season schedule.
“It was in the interest of our partners at Texas Motor Speedway as well as the drivers and teams competing with us in the XR Super Series to move the event date to one that would be beneficial for everyone,” said Dan Robinson, XR Chief Operating Officer and XR Super Series Director. “We want to ensure drivers who want to race in the entire XR Super Series season have the chance to do that.”
The event held at The Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track will be a Monday/Tuesday show with Monday (Sept. 18) $20,000-to-win, $2,000-to-start the XR Super Series feature and Tuesday (Sept. 19) $40,000-to-win and $2,000-to-start under XR’s new balanced payout structure.
All fans who have already bought tickets will have their purchase moved to the new dates. Fans can request a refund if they are unable to attend by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Karl Kustoms Stock cars will run alongside the XR Super Series Late Models as a support class. The event will now be a precursor to Texas Motor Speedway’s NASCAR Playoffs Weekend September 23-25.
